 Arolithos Traditional Cretan Village is located along the old national road linking Heraklion with Rethymnon. It is set in the wild Cretan mountains providing beautiful landscapes.
This family run business was established with respect and passion for the Cretan tradition. It was Mr. Saloustros that initiate the village in the beginning of the 80's.
Arolithos is a complex that is fitted with a hotel, a restaurant, a tavern, two cafes, a museum and a church. It is the perfect place to escape everyday routine. In Arolithos village, artists can be admired at work. They produce embroidery, weaving, ceramics, hagiography and pottery using traditional techniques.

Arolithos hotel boasts 34 typical rooms including some with a balcony offering views over mountain or city. They are equipped with air conditioning. The hotel is open 24 hours a day; it provides a TV and video room, a bar and a gift shop. There is an information desk to assist guests with their touristic excursions.
